Do you love to play baseball in a very competitive environment? Do you want to work hard to accomplish something special? Do you want to be a part of a team that strives to be the best? Do you want to train to get better at baseball? Can you give 110% to the team? Can you make practices 3 to 4 times a week? Can you makes games that sometimes take up the whole weekend? The Maryland Club Baseball is a University of Maryland sponsored club that strives to stay as one of the premier club baseball teams in the nation. Last spring, the team was Conference Champions and only two games from a trip to Bradenton, Florida for the NCBA World Series. In addition, three players earned the right to be called All-Americans. Not only did these three individuals deserve their awards but they all have returned to bring Maryland to the World Series. The competition ranges from high school to division III skill. The team has great depth, and starters are consistently being pushed to give their best because there is always another player ready to contribute. There is practice 3-4 times during the week, with 4 games over the weekend. We do travel in the beginning of the season, so we do stay overnight. The team has been doing winter workouts the whole winter and all strive to be the best in the nation with their work ethic. If you are truly interested in becoming a part of the Maryland Club Baseball team, please email the president and watch the website for updates about tryouts. |
